In October 2021, a legal framework that regulates cannabis for recreational purposes in Spain was proposed, but research on its potential impacts use is currently limited. This study examined the reliability and discriminant validity of two Marijuana Purchase Tasks (MPTs) measuring hypothetical illegal demand, to examine differences demand both commodities young adults at hazardous vs. non-hazardous risk levels.A total 171 Spanish [Mage = 19.82 (SD 1.81)] with past-month participated cross-sectional from September November 2021. Two 27-item MPTs were used estimate independently. The Cannabis Use Disorder Identification Test (CUDIT-R) assess test MPTs. Reliability analyses conducted using Classical Theory (Cronbach's alpha) Item Response (Item Information Functions). The MPT reliable (α 0.94) 0.90) demand. Breakpoint (price which ceases), Pmax associated maximum expenditure) most sensitive indicators discriminate participants different levels reinforcing trait. No significant between whole sample observed, users showed higher decreased if vs illegal. The exhibits robust psychometric may be useful inform regulatory science Spain.

Cannabis demand (i.e., reinforcing value) can be assessed using a marijuana purchase task (MPT; assesses hypothetical purchasing of cannabis at escalating prices) and has been related to use frequency, problems, disorder symptoms in adults. yet studied adolescents, which inform prevention intervention efforts reduce cannabis-related risks. The present study sought validate the MPT with sample late adolescent lifetime users. Participants aged 15-18 years old (n = 115, Mage 16.9, SD 0.9) residing state legalized completed online assessments baseline 6-month follow-up. Convergent divergent validity was examined, while principal component analysis conducted determine factor structure assess predictive validity. Three indices, Omax maximum expenditure on cannabis), breakpoint price suppressing consumption zero), alpha degree decreases increasing price) were all significantly associated use, consequences, craving, expenditures differentiated low-risk users high-risk as measured by Use Disorders Identification Test-Revised (CUDIT-R). A two-factor solution reflecting amplitude (intensity, alpha, Omax) persistence (breakpoint, Pmax) observed. Both factors consequences regression models. At follow-up, consequences; not either outcome. These findings provide initial evidence that is valid measure for assessing among adolescents used understand mechanisms use. Background The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of patients with substance use disorder (SUD). However, few longitudinal studies have been done which examine associations between pandemic, SUD patients’ and their drug use. Objectives This study aimed to duration abstinence according psychiatric status among outpatients followed-up for 18 months from related lockdown. Methods A follow-up 316 was undertaken. Sociodemographic features, clinical consumption variables were recorded. Pre, during post lockdown information evaluated. Abstinence/substance monitored at patient’s scheduled appointments, disorders psychological revaluated months. Results Survival analyses used compare (in months) beginning It observed that 70% consumed main they being treated some point follow-up. Men, younger patients, those more symptoms anxiety personality disorders, who experienced increased craving follow-up, showed shorter abstinence. While had previously maintained least one year abstinence, achieved better results. Conclusions During first a half presented alterations in health, such us anxiety, depression maladaptive traits high rate relapse. For this reason, despite social crisis restrictive measures, comprehensive treatment should be ensured.

Given the scarcity of literature regarding COVID-19 impacts on cannabis consumers with chronic illnesses who widely use to manage their health conditions, we aim assess effect patterns among adults living diseases. Cannabis a disease (N = 1,466) from Health Study were included in this analysis. The primary outcomes change dosage, past 30-day usage, and route administration, main exposure being self-reported fear diagnosis. Significant differences found between changes dose by diagnosis (p .03) where 41.5% fearing reported an increase dosage since pandemic. Multinomial logistic regression showed that individuals feared had 50% greater odds [aOR 1.50, 95% CI: 1.02–2.24 decreasing reference staying same, than those without COVID-19, adjusting for socio-demographics. Our findings highlight significant association usage This underscores pandemic's impact health-related behaviors role as coping mechanism during uncertain times.
