The purpose of the article is to carry out a theoretical analysis scientific sources on study psychological characteristics behaviour person with various addictions. Increasing evidence links adolescent cannabis use (CU) to suicidal thoughts and behaviors. CU may be associated with both developing self-medicating psychiatric symptoms. Although relatively new, vaping is increasing among adolescents. This chart review investigation evaluated the association between behaviors adolescents experiencing acute symptomatology. The sample included 470 (ages 11-18; 64% biological female) admitted an inpatient hospital 2021 2023. Adolescents completed assessment battery measuring CU, symptoms, Separate regressions tested 2 outcomes-past 30-day suicide attempt ideation (SI)-controlling for age sex. In this sample, 26.8% reported past attempts; 44.3% endorsed ever using cannabis, 31.5% CU. Of who used 30.8% their most frequent method was vaping.
