Abstract A complete understanding of the nexus between productivity and sustainability agricultural production systems calls for a comprehensive assessment nitrogen budget (NB). In our study, data from well-monitored Danish Agricultural Watershed Monitoring Program (LOOP-program; 2013–2019) is used quantitative inter-comparison three different approaches to drive process-based model LandscapeDNDC on regional scale. The aim assess how assumptions simplifications about farm management activities at scale induce previously unquantified uncertainties in simulation yields NB cropping systems. Our findings reveal that approach based detailed field-level (A) performs best yield ( r 2 = 0.93). contrast, other two aggregation (B: Sequential mono-cropping six major crops with results averaged according proportional area, C: 20 most frequent crop rotations) have lower correlations observed 0.92 0.77, respectively) but are still statistically significant p < 0.05 level. Notable differences arise more aggregated system simulations concerning NB, particularly N losses environment. Compared (gaseous fluxes: 24.3 kg-N ha −1 year ; nitrate leaching: 14.7 ), B leads 31.4% over-estimation total gaseous fluxes (+7.6 while leaching shows similar average distinct pattern. Conversely, employing C 17.6% (+4.3 ) 204.9% (+30.2 ). These suggest representation should be chosen carefully because it can large uncertainties, especially when simulating large-scale NBs or assessing environmental impact management. This may compromise accuracy national international nutrient budgets, preclude comparisons among sources differ.

The quality of acidic soil is determined by organic C content produced from rice straw biochar in agriculture. In this context, liquid extract Kappapychus alvarezii (K-sap) used as a enrichment agent. Therefore, research aimed to (i) analyze the character K-sap enriched with different volumes, well (ii) evaluate impact on water holding capacity, size class distribution, aggregate stability index, respiration rate, and chemical characters. treatment tested was volume kg-1 biochar, namely without 0 mL, (iii) 500 (iv) 1,000 (v) 1,500 mL. Each repeated three times placed according randomized block design procedure. area covered K-sap, pore size, amorphous degree increased while surface decreased. addition mL released new peak number associated aliphatic aromatic groups. proportion 1-2 mm, carbon storage, pH, total N, available P K, exchangeable base cations saturation. Meanwhile, concentration Al3+ H+ were decreased solution. results showed that performance quality, ability store improved adding volume.

Amidst the global shift towards a low-carbon development trajectory, hickory industry in Lin’an District is progressively embracing green, low-carbon, and sustainable practices. This study, leveraging life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology, meticulously scrutinizes carbon footprint of by segmenting its into two distinct subsystems: plantation factory. Through comprehensive, year-long monitoring soil greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions plantations, our findings underscore that while total GHG from eco-complex management (ECM) surpassed those intensive (IM) 10.7% (p < 0.001), ECM significantly mitigated per kilogram produced, achieving reduction 1.0495 kgCO2eq. advantage primarily attributable to ECM’s diminished reliance on chemical fertilizers. Within factory subsystem, when processing 1 kg hickory, digital incurred 2.5923 kgCO2eq kg−1, whereas family workshops exhibited lower 1.9544 kg−1. Notably, packaging stages collectively accounted for over 90% subsystem’s emissions, with natural being primary contributor during processing. To estimate emission potential within industry, this research draws parallels strategies employed other industries outlines tailored propel development. By advocating widespread adoption enhancing energy efficiency enterprises, can effectively diminish steer high-quality paradigm.
