Abstract
This
experiment
aimed
to
assess
the
impact
of
deficit
irrigation
on
both
quantitative
and
qualitative
yield
forage
maize
hybrids.
The
study
was
structured
as
a
split-plot
design,
utilizing
randomized
complete
block
design
with
three
replications,
where
took
place
at
Agricultural
Research
Station
Gorgan
in
years
2021
2022.
Deficit
implemented
four
different
levels
main
plots,
which
comprised
100%,
75%,
50%,
25%
water
requirement.
These
plots
were
further
subdivided
into
subplots,
consisting
hybrid
varieties,
namely
SC703,
SC704,
ZP548,
BK50.
results
showed
that
highest
total
biomass
(47939
kg
ha
−
1
)
obtained
under
100%
requirement
(control)
SC704
hybrid.
reduction
for
treatments

Water-saving
irrigation
techniques

Abstract

scarcity,

strategy

reducing
consumption
in
irrigated
agriculture

Understanding
soil
moisture
extraction
patterns
(SMEPs)
is
critical
for
efficient
irrigation
water
management.
SMEPs
can
vary

crop
stages

SMEP
