Acute-on-chronic
liver

hepatitis
that
occur
in
patients
with
without
chronic
diseases
and/or
cirrhosis,
respectively,

often
result
death.

virus
(HAV)
E
(HEV)
infection
can
cause
these
conditions.
We
reviewed
the
role
of
HAV
HEV,
which
infect
humans
through
fecal–oral
route,

was
derived
from
a
traditional
non-systematic
review.
