India has a limited and evolving health infrastructure. A vast majority of rural distant population are unable to access good quality treatment due number tertiary care centres in the country. Information from National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reveals that nearly 500000 deaths occur every year injuries 1/3 them Road Traffic Injuries (RTI). Trauma general traumatic brain injury (TBI) particular poses major public crisis many developing countries. TBI causes significant deaths, disabilities socio-economic losses. Selected 150 head patients admitted under Department Neurosurgery, Centre, Institute Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, UP, India. The peak incidence was observed younger population, male deceased outnumbered female, most common cause for TBIs RTI followed by fall height, victims had background, among students were highest belonged low middle income group family. is not 100% preventable problem but accidental RTIs can be minimized creating attention public. Global experience clearly indicates road traffic amenable prevention require systematic approaches. Burden disability also increasing rehabilitation services. Government should step implementation safety rules driving regulations, efficient transport system accidents instructions strict governance.

Abstract Risk‐taking includes both negative and positive risky behaviors, but little is known about how risk‐taking occur simultaneously. This study examined profiles of Asian American Non‐Asian emerging adults ( N = 401; M age 20.68; 68.30% women) their demographic cultural factor correlates. Three emerged: Moderate Negative Positive, Low High Negative/Average Positive. Americans were most likely to belong in the The Positive profile was associated with stronger emotion control values, whereas higher humility values. These findings underscore role beliefs shaping distinct patterns among adults.

Research on self-reported risk perception and taking suggests age-related decrements in preference, with older adults less likely to engage general domain-specific (i.e., financial, health-related, ethical, career, leisure contexts). Data relating social risks, however, are inconsistent. With respect behavioral risk-taking tasks, differences vary depending task characteristics adults' cognitive capacities. Specifically, good at learning take advantageous risks fewer when faced gains, especially financial mortality-based ones. We contextualize these trends by referencing relevant theoretical frameworks (see Frey et al., 2021 [1]) drawing the COVID-19 pandemic illustrate recent examples of real-life responses.

Around the world, adolescence is characterized by increased risk taking. Much research has focused on negative taking, but there growing recognition of positive which can benefit adolescent development. So far, taking been limited to Western samples. This study examined a self-report scale with sample 962 adolescents (Mage = 18.51 years) from nine diverse countries: China, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, and United States America. There were three aims: (1) Examine measurement invariance across countries, (2) examine whether are distinct constructs, (3) compare endorsement perceptions its safety benefits countries sex. Results indicated that 14-item risk-taking was invariant all countries. Evidence also suggested constructs. Endorsement varied significantly China Jordan exhibiting lowest endorsement. Although generally perceived as safe beneficial, Asian be less beneficial than their peers other Together, findings this offer evidence promising measure for cross-national use. Future directions identifying cultural factors help explain differences in discussed.
