Abstract
Backgrounds
The
aim
of
this
study
was
to
assess
the
level
knowledge
operating
room
(OR)
staff
about
surgical
smoke
and
examine
its
negative
effects
on
health.
Methods
A
descriptive
cross‐sectional
design
used.
population
consisted
health
care
team
working
in
OR
a
university
state
hospital.
sample
113
participants
who
met
inclusion
criteria
agreed
participate
study.
Data
were
collected
using
data
collection
form
based
literature.
P
‐value
>0.05
considered
statistically
significant.
Results
mean
age
36.10
±
8.13
years.
61.9%
had
not
received
training
smoke.
It
determined
that
85%
bothered
by
smoke,
always
experiencing
discomfort
from
odour
(39.9%),
occasionally
pain
or
burning
throat
(33.6%),
rarely
vision
impairment
(31.9%)
due
exposure
Conclusions
healthcare
risks
prevention
measures

inadequate.

linked
