This study evaluates the impact of dietary supplementation with hemp-based polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) on membrane lipid profiles and reproductive performance Martina Franca jacks. Over a 90-day period, twelve donkeys were divided into treatment group receiving hemp oil control standard diet. Semen blood samples collected analyzed at multiple time points for composition parameters. Results revealed that sperm motility improved significantly, increasing from 92.61% in to 96.63% by Day 60 ( p = 0.05). Normal morphology also showed significant enhancement, rising 96.58% 98.85% 0.04). Conversely, gel-free semen volume decreased significantly group, 64.17 mL 28.20 < 0.0001). Lipidomic analyses indicated an increased proportion omega-3 PUFAs, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA; 0.08% 0.20% 60, 0.0001), membranes, alongside reduction peroxidation index (264.11 86.53 These changes suggest fluidity oxidative stability. findings underscore potential supplement enhance outcomes donkeys, broader implications livestock management.

Heat stress (HS) occurs when animals are enable to effectively dissipate excessive body heat, potentially affecting their welfare and productivity. Several tools can be used mitigate HS in dairy cows. The aim of this study was evaluate the effect thermoregulatory mineral supplementation on cows' physiological response reproductive status. Thirty pluriparous Holstein cows (2.8 ± 0.3 lactation), from a semi confinement production system (freestall barn), were enrolled 35 days duration experiment, divided into two groups: 15 receiving mixture containing calcium, sodium, chlorine, potassium (200 g/day; TRT); and, that did not receive any type supplement (CON). Data respiration rates (RR), rectal temperature (RT), milk yield, barn temperature, relative humidity, humidity index (THI) obtained weekly evaluations (D7, D14, D21, D28, D35). ANOVA correlation analysis compare variables between groups, climate variables, regardless group. Related farm's protocols, D0 D35, all submitted US evaluation categorized as inseminated, pregnant, data analysed using Fisher's exact test. Cows TRT group had lower RT, compared CON (38,8°C 39,0°C, respectively; P = 0.0147), however both averages within range. As stronger positive correlations found RR RT with THI. In study, significantly affect responses or

This study evaluates Instagram's efficacy as an educational tool in veterinary sciences, focusing on dairy cow nutrition and management. Using the Instagram account "Stalla Didattica Unibo," established December 2020, a survey was conducted with 102 respondents, primarily consisting of university students (44.12%). The respondents were divided into 2 major groups: general population, latter comprising professionals others not currently programs. In overall age group 25-34 accounted for 51%, but among students, it 73.3%. terms gender distribution, there female majority population (59.8%) male (73.3%). Most responders from Italy, Emilia-Romagna contributing significantly. Engagement measured only by length time participants followed also active interactions such likes, comments, shares. Among total 47.1% had page over year, compared 37.8% students. Importantly, engagement metrics showed participation, reporting improved knowledge (75.6% 74.5% students) practical application content (64.4% 67.6% students). Content preferences varied, favoring quizzes (33.3%) stories (17.8%), while stronger preference standard posts (36.3%). Impact defined perceived influence respondents' learning professional practices, 46.7% 52.9% agreeing or strongly that positive impact their skills. Furthermore, 84.3% 77.8% stated they would recommend to others, underscoring account's effectiveness digital tool. highlights potential enhance education suggests further research explore broader these strategies across different contexts platforms.

Simmental cattle are renowned for their dual purpose as meat and dairy breeds. The study recorded phenotype data from 183 performed a Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) analysis to elucidate the genetic mechanisms underlying milk production, body size traits, tail characteristics. Statistical of showed that season, parity, age at first calving (AFC) factors had significant effect on production (P < 0.05). results GWAS linear traits revealed candidate genes SH3RF2, DCHS2, ADAMTS1, CAMK4, PPARGC1A, PRL, PRP6, CORIN have been found affect circumference (BC) cannon (CC). Through including Circumference over root (COTR) Tail Length (TL) in cattle, associated with length, such KIF26B, ITPR2, SLC8A1, SLIT3 were identified. Interestingly, IL1RAP, AQP9, PKD2 also metabolic inflammation tails. Introduction The aim of this study was to evaluate the transformative potential precision livestock farming (PLF) in dairy production, nutrition, and reproductive efficiency by implementing proactive management strategies that utilize real-time data. Methods Data were gathered from a commercial farm, employing 3D accelerometer system attached ear-tags monitor activity rumination behavior. Additionally, information on animal-related events such as oestrus, artificial insemination, clinical diseases, treatments recorded. Results It observed there differences between positive negative cows days following insemination (AI). Specifically, day 0 16, exhibited higher time compared cows, with contrast being particularly significant 9 10. Over duration study, tested produced, average, 0.78 kg more milk per day. Discussion This suggests animals production less likely be pregnant, potentially due increased nutrient allocation mammary gland, resulting pronounced energy balance consequently lower conception rates. Furthermore, utilized capable distinguishing daily lying pregnant non-pregnant oestrus return. finding highlights for developing alert identify “probable pregnant” non-pregnant” animals.

Abstract This study investigates the impact of urea molasses-treated wheat straw on growth performance and nutrient digestibility in Azikheli buffalo male calves. A longitudinal experiment was conducted sixteen calves, randomly assigned to four experimental dietary treatments ( n = 4 per group). The diets included a control group (U0) with untreated three groups where replaced 33% (U33), 66% (U66), or 100% (U100) total mixed ration. Results indicated that increasing proportion urea-treated from 0 led significant improvements dry matter intake (from 2931 4034 g/day) organic 2596 3623 g/day). Digestibility matter, crude protein, fiber also followed an trend, reaching 77.42%, 81.21%, 87.10%, 60.22%, respectively, at highest level. Furthermore, weight gain significantly greater calves fed straw, by those U66, U33, U0 groups. Feed conversion efficiency improved substantially U100 U66 than U33 U0. These findings suggest incorporating higher levels UMTWS rations enhances digestibility, promoting superior feed
