This study examines the Bicycle-Friendly Accommodation Facility Certificate implemented by Ministry of Culture and Tourism Turkiye within framework sustainable tourism. By comparing this certification system with international examples, research identifies similarities differences in governance, criteria, inspection processes. The findings reveal notable commonalities distinctions among systems. While all systems feature mandatory components such as secure parking, repair tools, tailored nutritional services, Turkish model stands out its state-led, legally grounded points-based evaluation system, which is designed to encourage service enhancements. However, also challenges post-certification inspections visibility, may limit model's impact. suggest that aligning Turkiye's best practices from models could enhance effectiveness foster growth bicycle insights derived offer actionable guidance for policymakers stakeholders seeking promote tourism on a global scale. Purpose Based on the accessibility-diagnosticity model, this study aims to explore interaction effect of pro-environmental appeals (fact-based vs affect-based) and customer types (first-time repeat customer) individuals’ behavioral intentions. Design/methodology/approach The authors conduct three scenario-based experiments test food beverage related waste in contexts.
