Abstract
Effective
and
recyclable
water
treatment
technologies
are
crucial
for
practical
heavy
metal
removal.
Photocatalysis
an
improved
oxidation
process
is
widely
used
in
energy
production
environmental
remediation.
However,
the
reaction
efficiency
of
photocatalysis
restricted
by
rapid
recombination
photogenerated
electron–hole
pairs,
although
it
promising
under
solar
light
illumination
conditions,
remains
challenging
because
seasonal
variations,
weather
diurnal
cycles.
Alternatively,
piezo
catalysis,
transferring
mechanical
to
chemical
energy,
vital
cleansing
regeneration.
Therefore,
lead
zirconate
titanate
(PZT)
with
a
MgAl
layered
double
hydroxide
graphene
oxide
(GO)
prepared
herein
efficient
piezo‐photocatalytic.
The
proposed
material
PZT‐MgAl‐GO
combination
UV
sonication
remove
hazardous
metallic
Cr(VI)
species.
reduction
efficiencies
increase
order
PZT<MgAl‐GO<PZT‐MgAl‐GO.
amount
decreases
≈99%
through
involving
both
exposure.
main
active
species
photocatalytic
assumed
be
e
−
•O
2
radicals.
With
these
advantages
high
decomposition
ratio,
simple
preparation
method,
its
use
considered
potential
removing
metals
from
wastewater.
