Traditional transportation development has yielded significant economic and social benefits, but it also led to increased pollution emissions substantial environmental impacts. Transport become a major source of carbon in China. Against the backdrop national goals for "carbon peak" neutrality", smart offers fresh perspective on reducing emission intensity. In this study, both provincial enterprise-level data from China are used examine critical role intensity macro micro perspectives, dynamic threshold model is employed validate inverted U-shaped relationship between energy structure digital infrastructure reduction process facilitated by transportation. addition, mechanism, green innovation economy play pivotal roles. Multiple robustness tests confirmed reliability empirical analysis. This study highlights important transport provides valuable insights developing countries aimed at transitioning toward environmentally friendly, low-carbon, intelligent advanced transport.
