The article presents an overview of emotional burdens that are typical social professions, along with their causes, protective factors, and health implications. Particular attention is given to the demands associated interactions occurring between those helping asking for help, which expressed by interpersonal communication. subject matter discussed using examples from work environment care workers staff at emergency call centres. results own research compared findings other current studies. introduction information on sources burden experienced employees, taking into account changes caused COVID-19 pandemic. requirements communication concept labour. In following part, adverse consequences labour ‒ such as occupational burnout syndrome problems discussed. They illustrated our study. identified fall within two main domains. First, relationships linking levels empathy, engagement, professional examined. second issue encompasses predictors job including environment, marital status, childcare burden, well personal resources in form perceived stress, generalised self-efficacy, active hobbies. Negative pertaining helplessness, burnout, overweight obesity relating during first wave pandemic also presented. final part includes a summary conclusions.

Abstract Background A sense of hope plays an important role in relieving stress and psychological distress cardiology patients, as well improving their physical well‐being. Aim The aim this study is to investigate the correlation between death anxiety, loneliness levels patients receiving treatment a cardiac intensive care unit (ICU). Design This prospective, descriptive correlational study. Methods was completed with 150 ICU Istanbul, Turkey. data were collected using Patient Information Form, Templer Death Anxiety Scale (TDAS), Herth Hope Index (HHI) UCLA Loneliness (UCLA‐LS). Results had mean age 63.56 ± 12.74 years. Most (82%) treated for heart failure. There statistically significant positive total scores TDAS UCLA‐LS ( r = .337; p < .001) negative HHI −.292; .001). Also, there Positive Readiness Expectancy Subscale −.164; .044). multiple linear regression indicated that model F 7.177, variables among those included predictors anxiety (23.1%) .05). Conclusions who received high level moderate hope. anxiety. Relevance Clinical Practice It recommended individualized nursing be planned provided conscious are ICU, considering individuals at risk fear, hopelessness by periodically assessing levels.
