Abstract The present study explored the associations between orthorexia nervosa, social media addiction, emotion regulation difficulties, perfectionism and BMI with four facets of mindful eating, using path analysis to assess these relationships. A sample 551 students (127 males, 424 females, mean age = 22.6 years) completed an online self‐report questionnaire evaluating constructs. Analyses revealed that eating contributed dysregulation nervosa was related addiction. Significant indirect paths were identified from addiction adaptive through maladaptive perfectionism. While no direct observed perfectionism, a found nervosa. These findings suggest more nuanced understanding behaviours is required. Individuals susceptible disorders should approach caution seek support healthcare providers ensure it used in way supports overall wellbeing. Future research aim replicate further clarify reveal long‐term effects eating.
