The torque generated by high-speed airflow has a beneficial impact on compressor disk cavity with radial inflow. purpose of this study is to investigate the and energy recovery tubed vortex reducer (TVR) improve secondary air system performance gas turbine engines. Numerical simulations are performed temperature shear stress characteristics in cavities. Furthermore, mathematical model developed for predicting performance. results indicate that can significantly comprehensive efficiency cavity. As swirl ratio decreases 1, wall windage at low radius decline fast towards 0. However, topologic walls demonstrate causes strong differential pressure inside tube, leading capable significant output. In addition, as rotating Reynolds number dimensionless flow rate increase, output power increase rapidly. changing length tubes does not have effect torque. relative average error between numerical simulation only 7.9 %.
