Abstract In order to enlarge the area and intensity of convective heat transfer among coolant heated surface, vertical fins microchannel sinks (MCHSs) with microencapsulated phase change material slurry (MPCMS) as are arranged into wavy porous channels realize more being dissipated outside. The transition particles in laminar flow state is described, Brinkman–Forchheimer–Darcy model based on volume average approach energy equation for local equilibrium adopted portray medium. impacts geometrical parameters behaviour MCHS numerically analyzed, performance evaluation factor (PEF) defined estimate thermo‐hydraulic capability exchanger. numeric outcomes match well experiments. Results indicate that MPCMS has a significant improvement newly designed channel configuration compared fluid flowing straight microchannel. Based field synergy principle, comprehensive enhancement mechanism new explored, its superior thermal can be attributed synergistic degree temperature fields, reasonable structural design effectively improve rejection capacity limited space.
