This research explores the effectiveness of ZnO and Ag-doped photocatalysts in degrading organic pollutants, specifically focusing on phenol removal wastewater treatment. The catalysts were synthesized using sol-gel precipitation methods characterized through XRD, SEM, EDX analyses. study assessed degradation efficiency under various conditions, including different catalyst dosages, irradiation times, initial concentrations. UV-vis spectroscopy was used to measure efficiency, revealing significant differences between two catalysts. showed superior performance, achieving efficiencies over 90%, compared ZnO’s 60-70%. Statistical analyses, ANOVA Response Surface Methodology (RSM), identified key factors influencing efficiency. enhanced performance attributed its narrower band gap energy improved responsiveness. These findings indicate that is a promising candidate for efficient sustainable treatment, offering robust solution removing impurities supporting environmental preservation. provides valuable insights into advanced photocatalytic processes sets stage future treatment innovations.
