Coupling TiO2 with various elements could enhance its photocatalytic activity. In this study, an innovative ultrasound-assisted sol–gel method was used to synthesize TiO2/Ag(x%) by varying Ag–support mass (x = 9.3, 17.1, and 23.6%), followed calcination at 450 °C for 30 min. The aim demonstrate that Ag compositing improves photoactivity under visible light (>400 nm). synthesized photocatalysts were assessed their effectiveness in the degradation mineralization of Methylene Blue (MB) Acid Orange 7 (AO7) using lamps emitting range 400–800 nm. Characterization prepared performed Raman spectroscopy, SEM/EDS, pHpzc, UV–visible spectroscopy. spectroscopy confirmed predominance anatase phase all photocatalysts. photodegradation efficiencies selected dyes, MB AO7, reached 99% (pH 6) 95% 3) after 180 min irradiation, respectively. best performance two dyes observed TiO2/Ag9.3%, showing optimal kinetics doping concentration. improved TiO2/Ag composite is due a decrease recombination rate electron/hole (e−/h+) band gap from 3.13 2.49 eV. both about 9.3%, indicating presence refractory by-products resist complete degradation. Under UVA obtained. This study confirms potential as high-performance cost-effective photocatalyst solar environmental remediation, highlighting role silver extending absorption into region improving charge separation.

Abstract In this study, ZnO nanorods (ZnONR) were directly grown on carbon fiber paper (CFP), followed by the uniform chemical deposition of CuO nanowires (CuONW) and subsequent hydrothermal synthesis Ag nanoparticles (AgNP) to form ternary composite electrode AgNP‐CuONW/ZnONR@CFP. When prepared electrodes investigated as a non‐enzyme biosensor, two distinct separated differential pulse voltammetric peaks for puerarin (PU) daidzein (DAI) observed, indicating that simultaneous selective detection both isoflavones was feasible. The sensor exhibited linear response across broad concentration range 0.01 30 μmol/L 0.05 15 (DAI), with limits 4.0 nmol/L PU 17.8 DAI, respectively. Additionally, when used detect in traditional Chinese medicine samples, performed excellently, yielding results consistent those obtained from high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis.

In this study, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were synthesized on the surface of rutile-phase titanium dioxide (R-TiO2) using a plasma-assisted technique. Comprehensive analyses conducted to investigate structural, morphological, optical, and electrical properties nanocomposites. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images revealed uniform decoration Ag NPs (average size: 29.8 nm) R-TiO2 surface. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed polycrystalline nature samples, with decreased peak intensity indicating reduced crystallinity due decoration. The Williamson–Hall analysis showed increased crystallite size tensile strain, suggesting grain growth stress relief. Raman spectroscopy quenching broadening vibrational modes, likely oxygen vacancies. photoelectron (XPS) successful deposition coexistence Ag0 Ag+ states, enhancing reactivity. UV-Vis demonstrated enhanced light absorption across spectral range, attributed localized plasmon resonance (LSPR), optical bandgap. Dielectric properties, including dielectric constants, loss factor, AC conductivity, evaluated frequencies (4–8 MHz) temperatures (20–240 °C). conductivity results indicated correlated barrier hopping (CBH) overlapping large polaron tunneling (OLPT) as primary conduction mechanisms. Composition-dependent behavior was interpreted through Coulomb blockade effect. These findings suggest potential plasma assisted NP-decorated nanostructures for photocatalysis, sensor specific electro electrochemical systems applications.

Doping-associated surface modification is a powerful strategy to enhance the photocatalytic potential of n-type semiconductor nanomaterials. Silver (Ag) one most effective dopants that can result in retardation electron hole recombination-generating Schottky barrier at TiO 2 interface with simultaneous extension absorption visible region. This work presents study on effect catechin, bioactive principle polyphenol compound found various plants, synthesis, Ag-doping and stabilization nanoparticles (TiO NPs). The were irregular shape sizes ranging from 19 30 nm. Ag-TiO NPs fabricated using as precursor 1%, 3%, 5% AgNO 3 doping agent. average particle size 1%Ag-TiO NPs, 3%Ag-TiO 5%Ag-TiO was 27.3 ± 7.5 nm, 29.8 9.6 25.0 9.0 respectively. High-resolution transmission microscopy (HRTEM) showed lattice fringes an interplanar spacing 0.23 nm corresponding Ag (111) plane addition presence anatase phase . Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra exhibited broad peak around 400–800 cm −1 attributed Ti-O-Ti stretching vibrations which slightly shifted due changes local bonding environment Ti atoms caused by interactions Ag. Catechin loading between 1.55 3.3 wt. %. superior degradation methylene blue dye up 78%, 87%, 91%, 92%, respectively, RhB 94%, 97% 99%, pseudo-first-order reaction kinetics. Furthermore, its recyclability also demonstrated for three cycles. simplicity fabrication performance here make this green route advantageous environmental applications treat contaminated effluent well numerous other applications.
