To handle huge amount of glycerol produced in biodiesel industry, is transformed to value-added products. In this regard, acetalization solketal industrially attractive. As process various by-products can be formed, designing highly selective catalysts great importance. line, we wish report a novel catalyst that benefits from strong acidity, high specific surface area and thermal stability, which selectively form acetalization. prepare the catalyst, hierarchical zeolite was prepared via method, partially dealuminated NaY treated with PluronicF-127 then reacted NH4NO3 furnish H-form zeolite. Hierarchical faujasite achieved through calcination template removal. Subsequently, it functionalized ionic liquid used for immobilization heteropolyacid. The results indicated importance mesoprosity presense functionality achiveing yield. Moreover, among three investigated heteropolyacids, phosphomolybdic acid exhibited highest catalytic activity. fact, using 10 wt% at 55 °C acetone molar ratio 1:20, yield 98% furnished under solvent-less condition.
