Abstract
Thin-film
semiconductors
are
excellent
candidates
for
converting
solar
energy
into
chemical
via
water
splitting
because
of
their
outstanding
physical
and
properties.
This
review
aims
to
provide
the
most
recent
findings
on
production
energetic
vectors
from
photo-(electro-)catalytic
using
thin-film
as
catalysts.
Recent
successful
cases
discussed
scientific
community
with
a
guide
design
new
advanced
maximum
efficiency
scaling
process.
In
addition,
use
coatings
higher
amount
catalyst
photo(electro)catalytic
H
2
is
discussed.
Some
critical
challenges
in
this
reaction,
such
charge
recombination,
light
absorption,
recovery,
stability,
have
been
effectively
addressed
by
applying
thin
films.
adequate
photo(electro)chemical
reactors
step
improving
avoiding
mass
transfer
limit
steps.
However,
further
research
required
continuous
low-cost
manufacturing
deposition
techniques
that
favor
optimal
conditions
produce
clean
renewable
.

Amorphous
inorganic
perovskites
have
attracted
significant
