Abstract Photoelectrocatalytic technology (PEC) is an emerging green and sustainable for treating antibiotic wastewater. However, its effectiveness limited by the recombination of photogenerated carriers. To address this issue, Fenton reaction, advanced oxidation process, can be coupled with PEC to enhance oxidative degradation This research involved creating a Zn 0.5 Ni Fe 2 O 4 /silicon nanowires (SiNWs) Z‐type heterojunction through spin coating technique, which was then utilized in reaction break down The inherent electric field voltage applied hastened segregation e − h + within system. These advantages make /SiNWs highly efficient removing various antibiotics, including tetracycline (TC), ciprofloxacin (CIP), amoxicillin (AMX), levofloxacin (LVX). In particular, demonstrated 82.21% efficiency TC, exhibiting kinetic constant ( k ) 0.02688 min −1 , rate 2.82 times (4.80 times) greater than that SiNWs. Experimental findings reveal exhibit superior light absorption properties reduced charge recombination. doping effectively improves catalytic performance offers fresh insights into researching PEC‐coupled methods antibiotics paves way advancing creation more potent photoelectrochemical catalysts future.
