A boron-doped BiOBr photocatalytic nanosheet was synthesized using a one-step hydrothermal method. The effects of solvent, temperature, and boron doping content on the morphology performance were investigated. samples with acetic acid at 180 °C (1B-AB) showed optimal performance, achieving 80% efficiency in degrading sulfanilamide (SN) within 6 h. After five cycles, degradation rate decreased by 21%. 10% reduced BiOBr’s bandgap (from 2.90 to 2.88 eV), improving visible light utilization reducing electron–hole pair recombination. 1B-AB photocatalyst also demonstrated excellent activity against anionic dyes like methyl orange (MO) malachite green (MG). Hydroxyl radicals (·OH) superoxide anions (·O2−) identified as main active species SN process.

Abstract SnO 2 /BiOBr photocatalytic materials were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method with BiOBr as the precursor. X‐ray diffraction studies confirmed that and combined. After characterization, we proposed a possible formation mechanism for /BiOBr. The degradation experiment showed rate of norfloxacin using /BiOB‐4 reached 85.9 %, which was approximately 50 65 percentage points higher than pure , respectively. reaction 4.3 times BiOBr. Based on analysis mechanism, improved performance may be attributed to optimized energy band structure resulting from combination two monomers. This promotes effective separation photogenerated electrons holes, leading generation more active substances such ⋅O − h + . As result, oxidation capacity is enhanced.
