This study explores the potential of LDH flakes decorated with metallic oxide nanoparticles to function as both anti-corrosion barriers against chloride anions and heterogeneous photocatalysts for tetracycline degradation under visible light. The process involves modifying primarily MgO-based inorganic porous film by growing a MgFe film, followed individual dual incorporation SnO2 WO3 nanoparticles. these into matrix leads synergistic interactions, effectively sealing pre-existing defects within facilitating in-situ formation catalytic sites through oxidation induction surface oxygen vacancy defects, which synergistically contribute enhancement electrochemical photocatalytic activities. enhanced stability is reflected in significant reduction corrosion current density 4 orders magnitude compared unmodified film. Additionally, demonstrates sustained functionality, achieving (95.5 %) two hours. presents novel approach, highlighting effectiveness LDHs metal oxides an anti-corrosive agent photocatalyst, promising implications environmental remediation wastewater purification.

Abstract 6061 Aluminium alloy was treated with plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) in an alkaline silicate-base electrolyte. Recycled glass particles from consumer goods waste were added to the electrolyte order investigate impact of these on corrosion and wear resistance alloy. A comparison different sources (liquid crystal display (LCD) glass, borosilicate (BS) soda-lime (SL) glass) has been made. Also, effect current modes, direct (D) pulsed (P), incorporation coatings morphology studied. The microstructure thickness produced studied through SEM–EDS analysis XRD. evaluated by dry sliding tests vs AISI 52100 bearing steel (block-on-ring contact geometry). behavior analyzed potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), localized characteristics determined scanning microscopy (SECM). results evidenced that addition improved samples due sealing typical pores PEO layer. A self-lubricating coating is a kind of formed on the surface material by various processes that can self-replenish lubricating substances during friction and wear process. This paper presents comprehensive review properties ceramic coatings developed through Micro-arc Oxidation (MAO) light alloys, including aluminum, magnesium, titanium. Three technical approaches for preparation via MAO are recapitulated. The structures prepared each route compared analyzed, future development tendency this field also anticipated.

The lab-made ferrite-aluminium layered double oxide (Fe/Al LDO) nanoparticles were used as reinforcement in the production of copper matrix composite coatings via electrodeposition route this study. Cu electrodeposited galvanostatically without and with low concentrations Fe/Al LDO characterized by SEM (morphology), AFM (topography roughness), XRD (phase composition texture), Vickers microindentation (hardness), static sessile drop method (wettability). All fine-grained microcrystalline a (220) preferred orientation, tendency to increase grain size, roughness, degree orientation increasing coating thickness. cross-section analysis showed their uniform distribution throughout coating. Hardness performed application Chicot-Lesage (C-L) hardness model that added electrolyte caused change system from “soft film on hard cathode” into “hard soft type, confirming successful incorporation coatings. roughness had crucial effect wettability coatings, causing hydrophilic reinforcement-free hydrophobic obtained incorporated nanoparticles.
