The galvanostatic electrodeposition of cobalt–nickel alloy coatings performed out on a 304 stainless steel substrate. electrolyte baths contained metals salts, along with boric acid and sodium benzene sulfonate (SBS) as an organic additive in the deposition process. Structural topographic analyses were using SEM-EDS AFM techniques, respectively. findings confirm formation nanostructured coatings. images depicting various stages coating indicated inhibitory role additive. presence SBS enabled composed grains diverse geometries significantly reduced surface roughness. Hydrogen evolution was conducted alkaline environment (1 M NaOH). Overpotentials for different structures recorded at 10 mA/cm2, yielding 196 mV 225 deposited without SBS, Additionally, experiments laboratory-designed electrolyzer, which allowed measurement gas volumes (H2 O2) generated under constant voltage current conditions. results demonstrated that obtained perform more effectively hydrogen cathodes than currently used materials, particularly higher densities. Electrolysis 8 h, revealing improved stability SBS.
