This research aims to design a high-temperature wear resistance cobalt-based coating of hot-end parts as protective coating. The matrix coatings were reinforced by NiCrAlY and different contents TiC (6.0, 8.0 10.0 wt%) using laser cladding technology. Some efforts made explore the influence on microstructure, hardness behavior prepared coatings. was done via ball-on-disk machine under room temperature -800 °C. results showed that decomposed formed γ-Co(fcc) β-NiAl phases. with due fine-grain strengthening dispersion strengthening. friction coefficients destroyed particle in-situ synthetized ceramic particles, whereas enhanced. There existed an optimal content for Co-NiCrAlY-TiC wt% had satisfactory tribologcial performance at test temperatures. It ascribed moderate solid lubricants, well tribo-layer.

CoCrFeNiMn high-entropy alloy (HEA) composite coatings with 0, 10, and 20 wt% TiC are synthesized through laser cladding technology, their corrosion wear resistance systematically investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results show that the addition of TiC, phases M23C6 introduced, lattice distortion occurs simultaneously (accompanied by broadening leftward shift main Face-Centered Cubic (FCC) peak). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) reveals incompletely melted particles in coating (S2) uniformly distributed matrix while (S1) 10 due to gravitational sedimentation decomposition during processing, distribution reinforcing phase is insufficient. When rubbed against Si3N4, S2 exhibits lowest friction coefficient 0.699 volume 0.0398 mm3. more prominent simulated seawater (3.5 NaCl). shows best resistance: it has largest self-corrosion voltage (−0.425 V vs. SCE), current density (1.119 × 10−7 A/cm2), stable passivation behavior a wide region. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) confirms its film denser. This study optimizes microstructural homogeneity synergistically enhances mechanical strengthening electrochemical stability coating, providing new strategy for making HEA-based layers harsh wear-corrosion coupling environments.

ABSTRACT This paper enhances the corrosion resistance of Q235A steel in a seawater environment by employing laser cladding technology to prepare Ni‐Cr‐Mo‐Si/ x Cr 3 C 2 ( = 0, 5, 15 wt%) hydrophobic coatings on its surface. The results indicate that introduction substantially refines microstructure coating and forms additional reinforcing phases, primarily including 23 6 , Ni C, 1.12 2.88 . addition an appropriate amount significantly contributed enhanced formation hard phases. Specifically, when content is 15%, average hardness reached maximum 395.2 HV 0.5 Combining wettability tests with electrochemical results, Ni‐Cr‐Mo‐Si/Cr show lower surface energy, improved hydrophobicity, reduced rates. When reaches synergistic effect hydrophobicity carbides optimized coating. Therefore, this reveals multifaceted roles refining improving resistance.
