Abstract The growth, immune response, and reproductive performance of broodstock Nile tilapia ( Oreochromis niloticus ) under winter stress conditions were investigated the effects supplementary diets with astaxanthin-enriched bacterium, Paracoccus carotinifaciens . Throughout an eight-week period in season, male female fed containing different levels P. dietary supplementation: 0 g/kg (T1; control), 5 (T2), 10 (T3), 20 (T4). Subsequently, a four-week mating system was implemented during period. results revealed that there no significant differences observed hematological indices, blood chemical profiles among all treatment groups for both tilapia. However, increase cholesterol content noted T4 diet (p<0.05). total carotenoid muscle evaluated, significantly higher values found supplementation Moreover, immunological parameters such as myeloperoxidase antioxidant liver including superoxide dismutase activity catalase enzyme showed increases diet. impact on indicated spermatozoa concentration males increased egg production females after consumption Thus, this study highlighted presence bacterium can lead to accumulation carotenoids their tissue, improvement status, enhancement function, potential capabilities, even overwintering conditions.

Abstract The present study examined the impacts of varying amounts selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) as a natural antioxidant and metabolic regulator on growth performance, capacity, digestive enzymes immune resistance Oreochromis niloticus challenged to Aspergillus flavus infection. For 60 days, fish were fed experimental diet 30% crude protein up apparent satiation three times day. Se-NPs added control at different levels 0.0 (control), 0.5 (T1), 1.0 (T2) 1.5 (T3) mg/kg monosex Nile tilapia fingerlings with average initial weight (4.5 ± g). Fish randomly distributed in 12 tanks 100 L density 20 per tank after 2-week acclimation represent four treatments triplicates. results indicated that indices, feed efficiency survival rate significantly enhanced ( P < 0.05) by incorporating 1 diet. Furthermore, haemato-biochemical parameters, activity capacity improved T2. When , decreasing mortality was observed, which clearly shows boosted fish’s response intestinal morphology villus length, width, muscular fibres layer thickness absorption zone A. infection considerably all Se-NP levels. Histopathological score for hepatopancreatic, intestinal, gills muscle tissues concludes can be efficiently used help boost production, system histopathological parameters.

Abstract A 3-month experiment was designed to investigate the effects of different stocking densities on growth, stress markers, intestinal digestive enzymes, hepatic antioxidant biomarkers, serum immunity, and survivability striped catfish, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus . The relationship between fish water quality parameters also assessed. Healthy ( n = 1260 individuals, 17.52 ± 0.20 g) were raised in twelve fiberglass tanks. Triplicate groups with 60, 90, 120, or 150 per 1 m 3 designed, further referred as SD60, SD90, SD120, SD150 groups. Fish feeding done using a commercially purchased well-balanced diet three times day rate 3% wet weight. Results revealed that un-ionized ammonia, nitrite, pH significantly elevated, dissolved oxygen levels decreased increasing densities. survival rates growth lipase, protease, trypsin, amylase enzymes P < 0.05) along increased Moreover, significant decreases noticed total protein, lysozyme activity, globulin when density higher than 60 fish/m Conversely, biomarkers (such blood glucose cortisol), transaminases, alkaline phosphatase, urea nitrogen elevated Hepatic CAT, SOD, T-AOC decreased; meanwhile, MDA increased, together rates. In end, we found group recorded lowest rates, immune responses, capacity highest markers cortisol. this context, can conclude resulted better survival, status, overall performances catfish. Abstract Recently, an increasing disparity has emerged in the need for raw fish meal (FM) and its supply, along with environmental financial obstacles associated use. Therefore, elevating diversity of alternative protein sources aquaculture nutrition is imperative. The study investigated impact substituting FM EW on growth, haemato-biochemical response intestinal histomorphology Nile tilapia. Up to 20% fishmeal replacement had no adverse effects growth performance. A quadratic analysis final body weight level indicated best performance at 17.5% replacement. Fish fed 40% significantly decreased height width folds number mucosal goblet cells compared control. Although red white blood cell counts were found unchanged between control, 10% groups, a higher lower group Blood glucose was highest, while haemoglobin lowest group. In same group, frequencies erythrocyte cellular nuclear abnormalities noted. Lipid droplet accumulation liver whilst groups showed significant difference

The aquaculture sector faces sustainability challenges due to unsustainable feedstuffs. To address this, there's a continuous search for alternatives traditional aquafeed protein sources such as fishmeal. Clostridium autoethanogenum is novel source with long-standing application in the bio-energy industry. With 80–89% crude content on dry matter basis, (CAP) has gained attention nutrition research species. This study aimed review CAP utilization aquafeed, examining its nutritional value and impacts aquatic animals' growth, feed efficiency, digestion, absorption, immune response. Research suggests promising potential showing achieving complete fishmeal replacement without compromising growth performance response select Nonetheless, higher inclusion levels show adverse effects health status of certain fish species, indicating variability among species utilize CAP-based diets. Further investigations are required understand this outcomes reported

An eight-week trial was designed to explore the dietary effects of commercially purchased exogenous bile acids (BAs) on growth, whole-body composition, lipid profile, intestinal digestive enzymes, liver function oxidative stress biomarkers, and serum immunity thinlip mullet, Liza ramada. Four triplicate groups (10.50 ± 0.05 g) were fed four soybean meal (SBM)-based diets supplied with several BAs levels at 0 (control), 50, 130, or 350 mg/kg feed. Results indicated that growth significantly increased in BAs-based diets, especially 130 The body composition analysis showed feeding fish up decreased moisture (%) alongside crude protein (%). However, a diet mg BAs/kg had lowest highest Moreover, there significant increases (protease, α-amylase, lipase) enzyme activities BAs/kg. Liver enzymes (aspartate aminotransferase alanine activities) BAs-supplemented compared those BAs-free group. On other hand, control group higher total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein lower high-density than groups, hepatic malondialdehyde concentrations activity catalase, superoxide dismutase, antioxidant capacity reared diet. Serum lysozyme, respiratory burst, alternative complement BAs-supplied particularly Accordingly, our findings recommend including an SBM-based enhanced activities, functions, alleviated stress, boosted immunity, lowered metabolites mullet. These will be beneficial for improving quality feed prepared mullets effective strategy support mullet farming.
