Sepia esculenta is a tasty and nutritious cephalopod. But the trend toward global warming accelerating with massive emissions of greenhouse gases. An increase in seawater temperature decrease pH are great challenge for artificial breeding culture S. esculenta. In this study, we investigated contingency mechanism larvae under both high low conditions by transcriptome analysis. A total 1235 DEGs were identified. functional enrichment analysis results suggest that led to malignant proliferation exceptional cells larvae. comprehensive KEGG signaling pathway protein-protein interaction network (PPI) identified sixteen key genes conditions. The three highest quantities interactions or involved more pathways as hub affecting normal physiological processes effects ocean acidification on metabolism immunity preliminarily provide necessary help captive face climate change.

Marine mollusks, including oysters, are highly tolerant to high levels of cadmium (Cd), but the molecular mechanisms underlying their response acute Cd exposure remain unclear. In this study, Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas was used as a biological model, exposed stress for 96 h. Transcriptomic analyses gills were performed, and metabolomic further validated these results. our total 111 differentially expressed metabolites (DEMs) 2108 genes (DEGs) identified under exposure. Further revealed alterations in key metabolic pathways associated with heavy metal response. triggered physiological responses enhanced oxidative disturbances energy metabolism, changes oysters stress. Moreover, could effectively enhance tolerance detoxification ability through activating ABC transporters, enhancing glutathione metabolism sulfur relay system gill cells, regulating metabolism. This study reveals mechanism explores by using combined metabolomics transcriptome analysis.

Sepia esculenta is one of the most abundant extant squid populations in Southeast Asia and interest due to its rapid reproductive rate high commercial value. In recent years, with development industrialization, issues such as global warming heavy metal pollution oceans have emerged, posing a serious threat life activities marine organisms. this study, we used transcriptomic techniques investigate differences Cu exposure immune responses S. larvae under different temperature conditions. The enrichment solute carrier family (SLC) genes related DNA replication damage was significantly higher CuT group than group. Functional analysis revealed that FcγR-mediated phagocytosis autophagy pathways were enriched Based on differentially expressed (DEGs) functional results, can preliminarily infer caused more severe disruption intercellular ion transport repair compared This may further interfered normal physiological larvae. Overall, at temperatures, induces intense inflammatory response. results study provide theoretical foundation for researchers understand effects environmental factors immunity larvae, well preliminary insights into enhanced toxic metallic copper aquatic organisms high-temperature

Over the years, oysters have faced recurring mass mortality issues during summer breeding season, with Vibrio infection emerging as a significant contributing factor. Tubules of gill filaments were confirmed to be in hematopoietic position Crassostrea gigas, which produce hemocytes immune defense capabilities. Additionally, epithelial cells oyster gills effectors defend against pathogens. In light this, we performed transcriptome analysis tissues obtained from C. gigas infected alginolyticus for 12 h and 48 h. Through this analysis, identified 1024 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) at post-injection 1079 DEGs post-injection. Enrichment these revealed association immune-related Gene Ontology (GO) terms Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathways. To further investigate response, constructed protein–protein interaction (PPI) network using enriched immune-associated KEGG This provided insights into interactions relationships among genes, shedding on underlying mechanisms innate mechanism gills. ensure accuracy our findings, validated 16 key quantitative RT-PCR. Overall, study represents first exploration PPI approach. The findings provide valuable future research pathogen control development enhanced antimicrobial resistance.
