Various kinds of pets have been known to contract the ectoparasite Sarcoptes scabiei. Current acaricides are becoming less effective because resistance developed by mite besides their adverse effects on general activity and reproductive performance domestic pets. For this reason, present study aims discover a novel safe approach using silver gold nanoparticles fight Sarcoptic mange in rabbits as well explain mechanism action. 15 pet with clinical signs that were confirmed microscopic examination used our study. All assessed positive for presence different developing stages S. Three groups (n = 5) follows: group (1) didn't receive any treatment, (2 3) was treated either AgNPs or GNPs, respectively. Both applied daily affected skin areas via dressing injected subcutaneously once week 2 weeks at dose 0.5 mg/kg bwt. Our results revealed all severely infested took mean score 3. The lesions treatments progressed extensively 4. On other hand, nanoparticle-treated displayed marked improvement lesion an average 0-1. NPs showed remarkable pictures along mild iNOS, TNF-α, Cox-2 expression. could downregulate m-RNA levels IL-6 IFγ upregulate IL-10 TGF-1β genes promote healing. Dressing both affect liver kidney biomarkers serum Ig indicating safety. residual analysis detected but did not detect residues GNPs such organs. We recommend alternative acaricide rabbit mange.

The efficacy of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was tested in vitro against three different fish viruses, causing significant economic damage aquaculture. These viruses were the spring viraemia carp virus (SVCV), European catfish (ECV), and Ictalurid herpesvirus 2 (IcHV-2). safe concentration AgNPs that did not cause cytotoxic effects EPC cells proved to be 25 ng/mL. This dose decreased significantly (5–330×) viral load all types treatments (virus pre-treatment, cell post-treatment with AgNPs). In a higher concentration, efficient ECV IcHV-2 even delayed post-cell-treatment experiment (AgNP treatment applied 24 h after inoculation). first results devastating are encouraging continue study applicability aquaculture future.

Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs) have attracted much interest due to their catalytic and anti-bacterial activity. The present study exhibits that Moringa oleifera synthesized CuONPs (MS-CuONPs) might provide a promising substitute for conventional antibiotics treat Staphylococcus aureus infection in African catfish. MS-CuONPs showed an vitro activity (21.33 ± 0.80 mm inhibition zone) against S. aureus. One hundred-twenty fish (average weight: 120 5.36 g) were haphazardly allocated into four groups triplicates 10 days (control, MS-CuONPs, aureus, + aureus), where concentration of 0.1 mg/L was used. induced marked reduction immunological (lysozyme, complement 3, nitric oxide), protein profile (total protein, total globulins, albumin), hepatic antioxidant capacity, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase) indices as well higher mortality rate (46.67%). Moreover, apparent elevation the values tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), malondialdehyde (MDA), stress biomarkers (cortisol glucose), hepato-renal indicators (aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, alanine creatinine, urea) consequences infection. Interestingly, treatment aureus-infected with improved these parameters. According outcomes, water additive can protect negative impacts be used promise agent.
