Glutamine availability may be reduced in chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)-induced by obesity. Herein, the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and lipid metabolism effects of oral glutamine supplementation its free dipeptide form were assessed ob/ob mice. Adult male C57BL/6J mice supplemented with L-alanyl-L-glutamine (DIP) or L-glutamine (GLN) drinking water for 40 days, whilst Wild-type lean (WT) control (CTRL) received fresh only. Plasma tissue (skeletal muscle liver) levels, insulin resistance parameters (e.g., GTT, ITT, insulin) determined. Oxidative stress GSH system, Nrf2 translocation), inflammatory NFkB translocation, TNF-α gene expression) plasma liver triglyceride SRBP-1, FAS, ACC, ChRBP also analyzed. CTRL showed lower levels tissue, well increased fat liver. Conversely, DIP restored tissues, improved glucose homeostasis levels. Also, restoration, expression was observed group. Interestingly, GLN only stores but overall resistance, attenuated metabolic biomarkers. The results presented herein indicate that restoration body reduces oxidative inflammation obese T2DM This effect hepatic changes

Abstract This cross-sectional study investigated differences in the plasma metabolome two groups of adults that were similar age but varied markedly body composition and dietary physical activity patterns. Study participants included 52 lifestyle group (LIFE) (28 males, 24 females) control (CON) (27 25 females). The results using an extensive untargeted ultra high-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS) metabolomics analysis with 10,535 metabolite peaks identified 486 important metabolites (variable influence on projections scores VIP ≥ 1) 16 significantly enriched metabolic pathways differentiated LIFE CON groups. A novel signature positive habits emerged from this highlighted by lower levels numerous bile acids, amino acid profile characterized higher histidine glutamic acid, glutamine, β-alanine, phenylalanine, tyrosine, proline, elevated vitamin D status, beneficial fatty acids gut microbiome catabolism plant substrates, reduced N-glycan degradation environmental contaminants. established is strongly associated habits. robust consistent improved life expectancy a risk for chronic disease.

The most prevalent reason for vision impairment in aging inhabitants is age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a posterior ocular disease with poor understanding of the anatomic, genetic, and pathophysiological progression disease. Recently, new insights exploring role atrophic changes retinal pigment epithelium, extracellular drusen deposits, lysosomal lipofuscin, various genes have been investigated AMD. Hence, this review explores incidence risk factors AMD, such as oxidative stress, inflammation, complement system, involvement bioactive lipids their angiogenesis. In addition to intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) therapy other therapeutic interventions oral kinase inhibitors, photodynamic, gene, antioxidant therapy, well benefits drawbacks AMD treatment options, strategic drug delivery methods, including routes focus on pharmacokinetics, are investigated. Further, recent advancements nanoformulations polymeric lipid nanocarriers, liposomes, etc., intended pros cons too summarized. Therefore, purpose give researchers an pathophysiology, emphasis angiogenesis, function lipids, options. Additionally, options that development system(s) via several can aid advancement choices.

With the increasing demand for enhancing livestock production performance and optimizing feed efficiency, this study aimed to investigate effects of fermented total mixed ration (FTMR) containing different proportions rice straw sheath leaves Zizania latifolia on systemic nutrient metabolism oxidative under host genetic regulation growth heifers. A 157 heifers aged 7-8 months were selected, their hair was collected whole-genome sequencing. They randomly assigned into four groups 18 21 cattle each fed FTMR varying levels (21% in LSF, 28% MSF, 35% HSF) or 31% (ZF) a two-month period. At end trial, blood urine samples measure biochemical indexes metabolomics. The results showed that high content ZF diets could increase glucose non-protein nitrogen heifers, is, urea HSF higher than those LSF MSF (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, two improve antioxidant level Urine metabolomics analysis between identified three differential metabolic pathways, including 11 metabolites. Among them, l-homoserine o-acetylserine had significant SNPs associated with which promoted glutathione metabolism. Although there no effect diet heifers' average daily gain (ADG) body weight > 0.05), substantial inter-individual variation metabolites among all animals, as further correlation analyses illustrated. Twenty-eight significantly ADG (R 0.3, p Four them biomarkers, primarily regulating energy balance. In conclusion, feeding enhances capacity positioning key candidates markers. This integrative omics approach underscores potential productivity promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
