Abstract Middle-aged adults who are parents have better average cognitive performance and lower brain age compared with middle-aged without children, raising the possibility that caregiving slows aging. Here, we investigate this hypothesis in two additional groups of caregivers: grandmothers caregivers for people living dementia (PLWD). Demographic, questionnaire, structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data were acquired from n = 50 grandmothers, 24 PLWD, 37 non-caregiver controls, BrainAGE was estimated. estimation results suggest after controlling relevant covariates, had a 5.5 years younger than non-grandmother PLWD brains 4.7 controls. Women became at later those an earlier age. Among stress burden associated increased age, such beneficial effect on reduced reporting more burden. Our findings caring dependents may slow

Background: There has been an increase in people with disabilities who require continuous care, which often falls to informal carers (ICs). Stroke is one of the conditions where ICs are most needed. Therefore, it necessary for improve their caregiving skills and self-care capacity. Telehealth (TH) can facilitate them. The aim this systematic review summarize evidence effects interventions on stroke patients. Resilience research has long sought to understand how factors at the child, family, school, community, and societal levels shape adaptation in face of adversities such as poverty war. In this article we reflect on three themes that may prove be useful for future resilience research. First is idea mental physical health can sometimes diverge, even response same social process. A better understanding explanations divergence will have both theoretical public implications when it comes efforts promote resilience. Second more recent models stress suggest accelerate aging. Thus, need also consider strategies developed an accelerated fashion effective. Third, if psychological interventions conducted conjunction with enact system-level changes targeted adversities, synergize impact any single intervention have, creating a coordinated effective set approaches promoting young people who confront adversity life.

Background/Objectives: Informal caregivers, who provide essential support to dependent family members, often face high levels of stress and mental health problems due the physical emotional demands role. This study examined connections between anxiety, depression, stress, caregiver burden in informal caregivers. Methods: A total 344 caregivers from Valencian Community, selected by incidental sampling, took part. 58.7% were female (n = 202) with a mean age 46.37 years (SD 14.79), while 41.3% male 142) 14.78). used DASS-21 Zarit Burden Questionnaire. Data analysis was structural equation modeling latent factors. Results: The principal findings indicated that anxiety depression predictive factors for (p 0.006, p 0.002 respectively), turn, associated higher < 0.001). Allostatic load, a cumulative indicator of physiological wear and tear resulting from chronic stress, is robust predictor disease mortality risk. While prior research has documented racial/ethnic gender variations in allostatic typically assessed by counting biomarkers at extreme levels, few studies have used latent class analysis (LCA) to examine multi-system dysregulation or tested whether these patterns differ across the intersection race/ethnicity gender. This study analyzed data 5743 Black White adults aged 50 older Health Retirement Study address this gap. Based on eight representing metabolic, cardiovascular, inflammatory systems, LCA identified four distinct that varied significantly race The classes included: (1) Healthy Regulation class, all groups but most prevalent among men; (2) Hypertension Dysregulation specifically men women; (3) Metabolic Inflammatory observed both (4) women men. Association analyses revealed higher educational attainment was linked reduced odds metabolic-related except men, underscoring limitations education alone mitigating health risks for group. These findings emphasize value an intersectionality framework understanding how jointly shape highlight need tailored public strategies specific faced different population subgroups.

Marital quality shares ties to inflammatory conditions like cardiovascular disease and diabetes. For decades, research has focused on marital conflict as a primary mechanism given its potential trigger responses. However, longitudinal evidence suggests that declines over time, little attention been paid the aftermath of other types exchanges. A spouse's emotional distress is an important but overlooked context, partners are exposed each other's upsetting emotions throughout adulthood. To directly compare reactivity in proinflammatory gene expression these two stressors examine differences by age satisfaction, 203 community adults ages 25–91 (N = 102 couples) provided blood samples rated their negative mood before after they 1) watched partner relive personal memory and, separate visit 1–2 weeks later, 2) discussed conflictual topic relationship. Controlling for age, sex, race/ethnicity, BMI, alcohol use, smoking, comorbidities, increases were significantly larger partner's disclosure than (B 0.073, SE 0.031, p .018). This pattern paralleled tasks, wherein rose more response 4.305, 1.468, .004). In sum, spousal exceeded conflict, well-established stressor.
