Pterostilbene (PT) is a naturally occurring small molecule stilbenoid that has garnered significant attention due to its potential therapeutic effects in tumor diseases. In this review, we conducted comprehensive analysis of the antitumor PT and derivatives on various cancer types, including colon, breast, liver, lung, pancreatic cancers recent 20 years. We have succinctly summarized exhibit superior anti-tumor efficacy compared PT. Additionally, reviewed structure-activity relationship (SAR) rules clinical application methods establish foundation for chemical modification utilization stilbene compounds.

Polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) have been reported to accumulate in the testes and constitute a new threat reproductive health. However, exact effects of PS-NPs exposure on testicular cells underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. The C57BL/6 male mice were orally administered with (80 nm) at different dosages (0, 10, 40 mg/kg/day) for 60 days, GC-1 treated this study. Enlarged seminiferous tubule lumens loose vacuolated layer spermatogenic observed PS-NPs-exposed mice. Spermatogenic which may be one target damage, decreased from group. caused undergo senescence, manifested as elevated SA-β-galactosidase activity activated senescence-related signaling p53-p21/Rb-p16 pathways, induced cell cycle arrest. Mechanistically, Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment suggested key role reactive oxygen species (ROS) PS-NPs-induced result was confirmed by measuring ROS levels. Moreover, inhibition partially attenuated senescence phenotype DNA damage. Using health atlas (MHA) database, Sirt1 filtrated critical molecule regulation senescence. overexpression main generator Nox2, downregulated Sirt1, increased p53 acetylated vivo vitro, whereas these disturbances restored pterostilbene. In addition, pterostilbene intervention significantly alleviated burst. Collectively, our study reveals that can trigger mediated regulating Sirt1/ROS axis. Importantly, promising strategy alleviate

Abstract A series of resveratrol surrogate molecules were designed, synthesized and biologically evaluated for inhibition acetylcholinesterase (AChE) butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) along with anti‐oxidant activity as potential novel multifunctional agents against Alzheimer's disease (AD). Six compounds by reacting (E)‐4‐(3,5‐Dimethoxystyryl) aniline benzaldehyde some selected derivatives in the presence ethanol a few drops glacial acetic acid which followed general scheme involved formation Schiff bases. The spectral analysis data including FT‐IR, 1 H‐NMR, 13 C‐NMR, Mass spectroscopy results found to be good agreement newly (Resveratrol Surrogate Molecules 1–6). their dual cholinesterase inhibitory activities, cytotoxic effect, potential. showed that compound RSM5 potent AChE BChE. In, addition cytotoxicity is less within desirable limit indicating safety RSM5. Also, it possesses substantial qualifies an anti‐AD agent. Taken together, these findings demonstrate molecule had most properties could promising lead future development drugs treatments.

One of the most pressing challenges facing society today is rising prevalence physical and cognitive frailty. This geriatric condition makes older adults more vulnerable to disability, illness, a heightened risk mortality. In this scenario, Parkinson’s disease (PD) frailty, which share several common characteristics, are becoming increasingly prevalent worldwide, underscoring urgent need for innovative strategies. Nutraceuticals naturally occurring bioactive compounds contained in foods, offering health benefits over above essential nutrition. By examining literature from past decade, review highlights how nutraceuticals can act as complementary therapies, addressing key processes, such oxidative stress, inflammation, neuroprotection. Notably, antioxidant action appears particularly beneficial regard PD For instance, antioxidant-rich may mitigate damage linked levodopa therapy PD, potentially reducing side effects enhancing treatment sustainability. Similarly, amplify activity, muscle function, health, resilience, thereby proposes holistic approach integrating with exercise, pharmacotherapy, lifestyle adjustments. It promises transform management ARD, prolong life, improve quality life well-being people.
