This study investigates the long-run impact of digital transformation and fintech innovation on environmental sustainability across OECD countries from 1999 to 2024. Drawing a novel empirical framework that integrates panel fully modified ordinary least squares, system-generalized method moments, machine learning estimators, analysis captures both linear nonlinear dynamics while addressing heterogeneity, endogeneity, structural complexity. Environmental is measured by per capita CO2 emissions, are proxied secure internet servers G06Q patent applications, respectively. The findings reveal infrastructure maturity fintech-driven significantly reduce carbon suggesting technologically advanced ecosystems serve as effective instruments for climate mitigation. Robustness checks via moments confirm stability these relationships, models—Random Forest XGBoost—highlight variables top predictors emissions reduction. convergence results estimation methods underscores reliability digital–environmental nexus. Policy implications emphasize need embed metrics into strategies, promote green regulation, prepare labor markets Industry 4.0 transitions. These position not merely enablers economic growth, but levers achieving environmentally sustainable development in high-income economies.

In the era of digital economy, open sharing public data elements has become a key engine driving transformation enterprises. This article is based on quasi-natural experiment using government platforms launched from 2011 to 2022, and it uses asymptotic difference-in-differences method empirically test mechanism impact enterprise transformation. It been discovered that making items publicly available dramatically increases degree According analysis, corporate primarily impacted by releasing through two channels: information resource removing financial restraints. heterogeneity significantly when they are located in regions with high openness quality, substantial levels economic vitality, during businesses’ growth maturity stages. The enabling influence organizational was positively mitigated via fully functional infrastructure cutting-edge products. study confirmed value market-oriented allocation enterprises, providing theoretical basis for improving government’s system unleashing productivity elements. also provides practical inspiration enterprises seize opportunities.
