3D city models are omnipresent in urban management and simulations. However, instruments for their evaluation have been limited. Furthermore, current instances scattered worldwide developed independently, hampering comparison understanding practices. While there assessment frameworks open data, such efforts generic not applied to geospatial data. Purpose The compliance checking of Building Information Modeling (BIM) models is crucial throughout the lifecycle construction. increasing amount and complexity information carried by BIM have made more challenging, manual methods are prone to errors. Therefore, this study aims propose an integrative conceptual framework for automated models, allowing identification errors within models. Design/methodology/approach This first analyzed typical building standards in field architecture fire protection, then ontology these elements developed. Based on this, a standard corpus built, deep learning trained automatically label texts. Neo4j utilized knowledge graph construction storage, data extraction method based Dynamo designed obtain files. After that, matching algorithm devised express logical rules triples, resulting Findings Case validation results showed that theoretical can achieve automatic domain graphs model compliance. Compared with traditional methods, has higher degree automation portability. Originality/value introduces natural language processing technology into completes process constructing data. its functionality usability through two case studies self-developed platform.

Automated construction progress monitoring using as-planned building information modeling (BIM) and as-built point cloud data integration has substantial potential could lead to the fast-tracking of work identifying discrepancies. Laser scanning is becoming mainstream for conducting surveys due accuracy obtained speed process; however, techniques are still limited because complexity methods, incompleteness scanned areas, or obstructions by temporary objects in sites. The novel method proposed within this study enables extracting BIM data, calculating plane equation faces, performing a point-to-plane distance estimation, which successfully overcomes some limitations reported previous studies, including automated object detection an occluded environment. Six datasets consisting clouds collected static mobile laser corresponding models were analyzed. In all analyzed cases, automatically detected whether was completed not compared provided model.

The adoption of building information modelling (BIM) enables data-driven decision-making for many participants in the construction process. Building authorities are stakeholders that have not yet benefited from data integration using BIM. In cases, parts their processes already improved through digitisation initiatives.
