This study examines global trends in depression incidence among women of childbearing age (WCBA) from 1992 to 2021 and projects future through 2030. Using data the Global Burden Disease (GBD) applying age-period-cohort (APC) model, we analyzed temporal patterns across groups, periods, birth cohorts. The WCBA increased 77.57 million cases 127.02 2021, with age-standardized rate (ASIR) rising 5675.52 6490.04 per 100,000 people. estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) was -0.21 (95 % CI: 0.47 0.06), indicating a slight, non-significant decline. Regional disparities were evident: high SDI regions saw incidence, while other experienced declines. Notably, regions, decreased 30-34 group but groups. In contrast, all APC analysis four (excluding region) revealed distinct age, period, cohort effects on WCBA. effect consistent globally increasing age. However, showed contrasting trend, notable adverse period effects. These findings highlight need for targeted interventions further research mitigate growing mental health burden, particularly reproductive alignment WHO's 2030 objectives.
