Introduction: Depressive disorders are among the most prevalent mental health conditions globally, affecting millions of people. Despite extensive research, exact pathophysiology depression remains unclear. Recent evidence suggests that neuroplasticity, particularly role brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), plays a crucial in both onset and treatment depressive disorders. Aim Study: This review explores relationship between neuroplasticity depression, focusing on BDNF as central biomarker potential therapeutic target. It also examines how antidepressant therapies physical activity influence levels, offering insights into novel approaches for treating Material Methods: A literature was conducted using PubMed Google Scholar databases, peer-reviewed articles with keywords: "neuroplasticity", "BDNF", "depression", "antidepressants" "physical activity". Conclusions: Neuroplasticity, through signaling, critical pathogenesis depression. Elevated levels promote synaptic plasticity, neurogenesis, recovery brain function. Antidepressant treatments enhance by increasing levels. Antidepressants neuroplastic processes, serving key mediator.

Depressive disorders are one of the most common mental among young people. However, there is still a lack objective means to identify and evaluate people with depressive quickly. Cognitive impairment core characteristics disorders, which great value in identification evaluation disorders. This study proposes new method for identifying evaluating based on cognitive neurocomputing. The evaluates impairments such as reduced attention, executive dysfunction, slowed information processing speed that may exist youth disorder population through an independently designed digital paradigm. It also mines biomarkers can effectively these impairments. A total 50 patients 47 healthy controls were included this validate method's capability. differences analysis results showed function function, extracted significantly different between controls. Through stepwise regression analysis, four finally screened. area under curve them jointly distinguish from was 0.927. rapidly characterizes quantifies provides way organizations, schools, quickly human-computer interaction.

Abstract Background With the acceleration of population aging, cognitive impairment and depression have become serious public health challenges in countries around world. The influencing factors trajectory, dual trajectories middle-aged elderly adults not been fully studied. Methods This study used data from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study database spanning 2011–2018. Group-based trajectory modelling group-based were employed to examine different trajectories. Restricted cubic spline multivariate logistic regression analysis elucidate relationship between sleep duration grip strength with these Mediation was conducted explore mediating roles activities daily living (ADLs) their impact on Results Trajectory identified two longitudinal patterns function scores: low high group, respectively, states cognition depression: stable state group decline group. Sleep associated has an inverted U-shaped trajectory. Grip nonlinearly above mediation effects association ADLs cognitive, 3.14, 6.14, 2.70%. While 7.21, 1.67 6.24%, respectively (P < 0.05). Conclusions only depression, trajectories, but also partially mediate will provide a basis for how intervene mental adults.
