G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) transmit an extracellular chemical/biological signal across the cell membrane, stimulating array of intracellular signaling cascades. Canonically, these molecules bind to endogenous ligand pocket (orthosteric pocket), which stabilizes either active or inactive conformational ensemble receptor.
