Abstract
The
coronavirus
disease
2019
(COVID-19)
pandemic
caused
by
severe
acute
respiratory
syndrome
2
(SARS-CoV-2)
has
led
to
the
development
of
various
vaccines.
Reports
have
emerged
suggesting
a
possible
association
between
SARS-CoV-2
vaccination
and
onset
thyroid
diseases.
This
review
explores
clinical
aspects
disorders
following
vaccination,
including
case
report
patient
with
concomitant
subacute
thyroiditis
(SAT)
Graves’
(GD)
blocking
thyrotropin
receptor
autoantibodies
(TSH-R-Ab)
vaccination.
SAT,
characterized
transient
inflammation
gland,
been
reported
after
GD,
an
autoimmune
hyperthyroidism,
also
observed
post-vaccination,
often
stimulating
TSH-R-Ab.
orbitopathy
(GO)
associated
in
patients
history

Izhodišča:

raziskati
vpliv
epidemije
covida-19
Hashimotovega
tiroiditisa
(HT),
najpogostejša
avtoimunska
ščitnice.
Metode:
V
retrospektivno
klinično
raziskavo
zajeli
podatke
iz
zdravstvene
dokumentacije
4.844
bolnikov,
so
bili
prvič
pregledani
Ambulanti
ščitnice
Kliniki
nuklearno
medicino
UKC
Ljubljana
obdobju
11
mesecev
pred
epidemijo
covida-19,
4.084
mesecih
med
covida-19.
Po
opravljenem
kliničnem
pregledu,
ultrazvočnem
pregledu
laboratorijskih
meritvah
specialisti
postavili
diagnozo
ščitnične
bolezni.
Podatke
statistično
analizirali
z
Mann-Whitneyevim
testom
U
χ2.
Rezultati:
Med
ugotovili
značilno
večjo
hipotirotičnega
HT
(p=0,037)
brez
protiteles
(p=0,022),
ne
pa
hipertirotičnega
(p=0,673)
evtirotičnega
(p=0,653).
imeli
hipotirotični
bolniki
višjo
koncentracijo
tirotropina
(p=0,001),
hipertirotični
prostega
tiroksina
(p=0,002)
kot
njo.
Zaključek:
povečala
protiteles.
Hipotiroza
hipertiroza
zaradi
sta
bolj
izraženi
njo.

Abstract
Hashimoto
encephalopathy
(HE)
is
a
neuropsychiatric
syndrome
associated
with
positive
thyroid
antibodies
(Ab).
Its
pathophysiology
still
in
debate
and
pediatric
cases
are
considered
rare.
We
present
case
of
an
11-year-old
girl
new-onset
refractory
status
epilepticus
(NORSE)
who
presented
good
initial
response
to
corticosteroids
but
then
required
second
line
treatment
mycophenolate.
In
children
presenting
NORSE
suspected
autoimmune
origin
no
identification
encephalitis
traditional
Ab,
HE
must
be
considered.
