This challenge is exacerbated by the absence standardized test methods universally accepted mitigation strategies, leaving industries stakeholders confronting an increasingly pressing problem. paper aims bridge knowledge gap providing comprehensive review complex mechanisms bio-corrosion, focusing on formation accumulation hydrogen sulfide, its conversion into sulfuric acid subsequent materials. also explores various factors affecting rates, including conditions, properties wastewater characteristics. further highlights existing corrosion such as chemical tests, in-situ tests microbial simulations along with their general analytical parameters. sulfide primary cause decay progression influenced inherent characteristics, composition wastewater. Through illustrative case studies, assesses practical implications efficacy prevailing techniques. Coating materials provide protective barrier against corrosive agents among discussed techniques, while optimised mix designs enhance resistance durability matrix. Finally, outlines future prospects research aim promote creation more resilient cost-efficient systems.
