Greenhouse gas emissions is a progressive issue in today’s world, with factors such as scattered wastes that emits methane one of the leading causes. Cow manure and market fruits vegetables were used substrates inoculum this study to mitigate impact secretion environment. has shown exquisite signs bacterial growth which aids microbial activity, aims on evaluating its effects adding it anaerobic process mixed vegetables. A method applied using (MFV) cow inoculum. Four ratios created varying proportions water test efficacy biogas production The MFV were; 0:2:2, 1:2:1, 2:2:2, 4:2:4. ratio yielded highest content was 2:2:2 ratio, 100% LEL (Lower explosive limit) 2.5% methane, lowest yield came from 0:2:2 0% showing process.

Organic waste has the potential to produce methane gas as a substitute for petrol-based fuels, while reducing landfilling and possible environmental pollution. Generally, anaerobic digestion (AD) is used only in wastewater treatment plants tertiary stage of sewage sludge treatment, generating fraction energy that such process require. In this study, four different wastes—food (FW), dairy industry (DIW), brewery (BW), cardboard (CBW)—were tested biogas production. The biochemical (BMP) each sample was evaluated using an automatic system (AMPTS). Operating parameters pH, temperature, total solids, volatile solids were measured. Experiments on samples monitored under mesophilic conditions (temperature 37 °C, retention time 30 days). Specific yields (SMYs), well theoretical (BMPth), calculate biodegradability substrates, obtaining highest BW at 95.1% producing 462.3 ± 1.25 NmL CH4/g (VS), followed by FW inoculum-to-substrate ratio (ISR) 2 84% 391.3 NmLCH4/g VS. BMP test 1 heavily inhibited bacteria overloading easily degradable organic matter, production 106.3 VS index 24.8%. kinetic modeling study demonstrated best-fitting model modified Gompertz model, presenting coefficient determination (R2) values, lowest root means square error (RMSE) values five best specific yield estimation with percentage difference ranging from 0.3 3.6%.

Abstract This study presents a comparative analysis of biogas yields from various organic waste sources in Nakisunga Parish, Mukono District, Uganda, rural area with significant potential for production. The primary objective was to identify the most efficient production, thereby offering insights into optimizing systems similar communities. utilized combination field surveys and laboratory analyses evaluate production farm waste, household municipal food processing waste. Results indicated that particularly swine manure, exhibited highest biochemical methane (BMP), BMP value 0.007 mL CH₄/g VS, making it promising feedstock Crop residues cow dung also showed moderate potential, while wastes had lower values. findings underscore importance selecting appropriate feedstocks maximize highlight viability Ugandan communities where agricultural activities dominate. provides localized data on Sub-Saharan Africa, addressing gap research regarding efficiency these settings. results have implications sustainable energy policy development, suggesting targeted initiatives could play critical role improving access management areas. Recommendations future include exploring co-digestion strategies further enhance examining socio-economic impacts adoption
