Although number research focused DACD past two decades, there no study to systematically display knowledge structure development field. Thus, present aimed show landscape identify emerging trends for assisting researchers or clinicians grasping domain faster easier focusing field. We searched Web Science database all DACD-related studies between 2000 2022. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Histcite, R bibliometric package, revealing most prominent research, countries, institutions, authors, journals, co-cited references, keywords.A total 4,378 records were selected analysis. We found that volume literature increased over years. In terms publications, USA ranked first. The productive institutions University Washington Pittsburgh. Furthermore, Biessels GJ author. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with cognitive dysfunction, memory decline, and behavioral disturbance, it pathologically characterized by the accumulation of amyloid plaques neurofibrillary tangles in brain. Although various hypotheses have been proposed to explain pathogenesis AD, including beta hypothesis, oxidative stress abnormal phosphorylation tau proteins, exact pathogenic mechanisms underlying AD remain largely undefined. Furthermore, effective curative treatments are very limited. Epidemiologic studies provide convincing evidence for significant association between type 2 diabetes AD. Here, we showed energy metabolism using glucose, lactate, ketone bodies, lipids as substrates normal brain, changes such due diabetes. We also influences altered on pathology comprehensively searched risk factors related possible therapeutic interventions based considering brain development

Abstract: It is well documented that diabetes mellitus (DM) strongly associated with cognitive decline and structural damage to the brain. Cognitive deficits appear early in DM continue worsen as disease progresses, possibly due different underlying mechanisms. Normal iron metabolism necessary maintain normal physiological functions of brain, but deposition one causes some neurodegenerative diseases. Increasing evidence shows overload not only increases risk DM, also contributes development impairment. The current review highlights role diabetic impairment (DCI), including specific location regulation mechanism factors trigger deposition, consequences deposition. Finally, we discuss possible therapies improve DCI brain Keywords: impairment, type 1 mellitus, 2 overload, transport, homeostasis

Diabetic encephalopathy (DE) is a complication of diabetes that leads to cognitive and behavioral decline. Utilizing safe effective complementary alternative medications for its management wise choice. Previous studies have shown GuanXinNing Tablet (GXNT), an oral preparation primarily derived from two Chinese herbs, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort., exerts beneficial neuroprotective effect. In this study, we explored the protective effects GXNT on DE in male Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats induced by high-fat diet, aiming ascertain significance potential mechanisms.ZDF were develop type 2 (T2DM) with diet treated 8 weeks until they 20 old. Throughout experiment, animals' vital parameters, such as body weight, continuously monitored. Cognitive function was evaluated using Y maze test. Biochemical kits employed analyze blood glucose, lipids, vascular endothelial-related factors. Cerebrovascular lesions assessed magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) imaging. Brain hematoxylin eosin (H&E) staining ultrastructure observation. IgG albumin (ALB) leakage detected immunofluorescence.GXNT demonstrated enhancement overall well-being animals. It notably improved abilities, extended retention time novel heterogeneous arm during Y-maze effectively regulated glucose lipid metabolism, reducing fasting postprandial glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), total cholesterol (TC) levels. Additionally, it exhibited effect endothelium serum TXB2/PGI2 ratio while elevating NO PGI2 Moreover, ameliorated stenosis occlusion cerebral vessel branches, increased number microvessels neurons around hippocampus, microvascular cortex, along addressing perivascular cell abnormalities. Immunofluorescence showed decrease fluorescence intensity ALB cortex.GXNT highly satisfactory ZDF rats. Its mechanism action could be based regulation glucolipid metabolism endothelium.

Without acetylcholine (ACh) no skeletal muscle contraction, preganglionic sympathetic or parasympathetic activity can be obtained. This result in dysregulation of cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and renal functions as well disruption fluid secretion from various glands such tears, saliva, digestive juices, sweat, milk. Importantly, ACh deficiency the brain have severe cognitive consequences. The action is mediated by two distinct classes receptors, namely muscarinic (mAChRs), which are G-protein coupled (metabotropic) receptors nicotinic (nAChRs), ligand-gated ion channels (ionotropic receptors). focus this chapter on interaction these receptor its implication health disease. Thus, following a brief description actions central circuitry, an update mAChRs nAChRs how their may impact neuropsychiatric/neurodegenerative diseases will provided. Moreover, potential novel therapeutic intervention based interactions, particularly relationship to Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s touched upon.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) currently stands as a prominent focal point in contemporary research, ranking among the top ten causes of death worldwide. At same time, diabetes has also secured its position third most prevalent ailment developed countries. While more and people are paying attention to these two diseases, it is worth noting that certain researchers have posited type 2 (T2D) substantial influence on development AD. However, there still lack unified explanation underlying mechanics framework extent remains elusive. This review will explore risk factors, shared mechanisms, convergent signaling pathways contribute AD T2D, with an emphasis participation mitochondrial dysfunction, abnormal glucose metabolism, inflammation, oxidative stress insulin resistance. The relationship between T2D unknown. Nonetheless, understanding common mechanisms this harmful interchange may offer new avenues for identifying potential therapeutic targets devising effective treatment strategies.
