The present study examined the predictability of Time Perspective (TP) tendencies (i.e., Past Positive, Negative, Present Hedonistic, Fatalistic, and Future), Balanced (BTP) profile, Consideration Future Consequences—Immediate (CFC-I) factor, Consequences—Future (CFC-F) conspiracy beliefs about COVID-19 being a hoax, religious faith, gender, race on vaccination intention as dependent variable. Participants were recruited in United States through online platforms Prolific Google Forms. final sample was n = 232 (n 99 male, 129 female, 2 other, Mage 31). Outcome measures included sociodemographic questions, Zimbardo Inventory—short version, Consequences (CFC) ultra-short scale, Conspiracy Beliefs questionnaire, Santa Clara Strength Religious Faith Questionnaire—brief version. Regression analyses revealed that reduced by gender identification woman, multiracial or from mixed origin, Deviation BTP belief faith. Conversely, to vaccinate against increased CFC-I, CFC-F. These findings could be beneficial for knowledge transfer behavioral interventions aimed promote COVID-19, health promotion campaigns, public field.

Childhood abuse (CA) has profound impact on mental health, with survivors often exhibiting heightened vulnerability to posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Time perspective-a psychological construct reflecting attitudes towards the past, present, and future-has emerged as a potential explanatory factor for PTSD symptoms; however, its role among CA remains underexplored. This study investigated time perspective following contribution explaining symptom clusters, beyond known risk factors such age, polyvictimization, of perpetrator in survivors' lives, severity. The included 977 Israeli women aged 18-70 years (M = 33.40, SD 9.54), 80 % whom reported history CA. Data were collected via an online survey. Participants completed measures assessing CA, perspective, symptoms. Non-parametric tests, correlation analyses, regression models utilized explore study's hypotheses. exhibited lower past-positive future perspectives, higher past-negative present-fatalistic greater deviations from balanced (all ps < .001, εH2 range 0.02-0.29). Additionally, present-hedonistic (p .05, 0.01). perspectives explained symptoms effects severity, varying across clusters. findings underscore symptomatology. Addressing maladaptive through tailored interventions may enhance treatment outcomes survivors.

Background: The aims of the study were to establish an adjustment model analyze relationship among mindfulness, balanced time perspective (BTP) and psychological well-being (PWB) in college students explore gender differences variables. Method: sample consisted 380 students, 220 women 160 men, uniformly distributed according university’s faculties. Results: results indicate that synergy between mindfulness BTP predicts variance PWB by 55%. Regarding differences, it was found have a greater tendency towards Past Positive than men higher Present Hedonistic women. In addition, group women, stronger variables and, consequently, predictive value for (58%), displaying enhanced disposition high compared men. Conclusions: Together, promote optimal functioning alleviate or reduce discomfort. Thus, their promotion training universities is especially important given prevalence anxiety depressive symptoms students.

This study examined the relation between perceived stress and time perspective (views of past, present, future) in a population-based sample older adults (65-90 years, N = 340). The Perceived Questionnaire (PSQ index) was used to measure Swedish version Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (S-ZTPI) operationalize perspective. Unlike original inventory, S-ZTPI separates positive negative aspects future we hypothesized that Future Negative scale would be important account for variations stress. Additionally, associations with Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) Val158Met polymorphism were examined, motivated by prior this single nucleotide (SNP) (or "anxiety") related personality traits. In line hypotheses, strongest predictor PSQ index scores multiple regression analyses. vein, dichotomization unitary increased association deviations from balanced perspective, i.e. difference proposed optimal observed ZTPI profile. Finally, higher levels as well on COMT Val/Val carriers, at least among men. suggests shared dopaminergic genetic influence these variables. Collectively, results demonstrate is closely linked highlight need take temporal orientation into understand relation.

Our results indicate that Past Negative, Present Fatalistic, Future are associated with PTSD Deviance from a Negative Perspective (DNTP) as an overall configuration plays essential role. Refugees could benefit implementation TP therapy aim reaching Balanced Perspective.

Vital to the everyday operation of police services, communicators (911 call-takers and dispatchers) are persistently subject imminent challenges in workplace; they must always be prepared engage deal with a wide variety circumstances that provoke various intense emotions physiological stress responses. Acute changes cortisol, oxytocin, heart rate variability central adaptive responses stressful complex social interactions, but might also indicative dysregulation due long-term psychosocial exposures. Thus, we examine acute stress-induced release peripheral oxytocin cortisol along variability, how each relates persistent workplace stressors symptoms posttraumatic stress. Findings indicate chronic forms gendered such as emotional labor, gender role and, have differential associations with, predict to, acutely events workplace. These suggest potential mechanisms through which become more vulnerable developing stress-related disorders injuries, especially after cumulative traumatic exposures this context. The results pathways for biological embedding experiences.

Abstract Aim and Background : The purpose of the current study is to examine influence time perspectives (TP) on burnout-tendency health care professionals. concept TP delivers a construct how individuals frame their thinking behavior emotional, cognitive motivational level towards past, present future. Consequently, we assume that configuration professionals, determines vulnerable or reluctant they will be burnout. assumed stress perception degree self-efficacy which are in turn well-known factors Methods: sample consisted 398 professionals Germany. We have measured TPs by Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (ZTPI) burnout tendencies German version Maslach Burnout-Inventory (MBI-GS-D). Results: Past-Negative Past-Positive were identified as significantly associated with dimensions emotional exhaustion, cynicism personal accomplishment. Present-Fatalistic orientation was only Future dimension Furthermore, observed high deviations from Negative (DNTP) caused decrease all three dimensions. In addition, DNTP accomplishment fully mediated perceived self-efficacy. Conclusion: perspective substantial factor for professions an underlying mechanism Both important practical therapeutic conclusions, well better understanding role
