In rice-producing countries, the abundance of rice residue must be sustainably managed to avoid environmental problems. Moreover, repeated usage inorganic fertilizers has caused rapid soil deterioration in these arable lands. Converting husk into biochar (RHB) and reapplying it back paddy fields as a amendment can sustainable approach production. Due its adsorptive capability, nutrient retention capacity high silica content, RHB improve fertility improving effectiveness fertilizer when mixed together due content. High content provides better retention, turgidity, structure for plant. The objectives this review article are compile studies related properties factors affecting application Asian agriculture.
