Global
sustainable

faces
several
challenges
in
addressing
the
needs

Regarding
food
industries,
heightening
pressure

these
has
resulted
increased
waste

Thus,
recognising
wastes
as
valuable
resources
is
crucial
integrating
models
into

production
systems.
For
instance,
24
billion
tons
nutrient-rich
livestock
wastewater
(LW)
generated
yearly
could
be
recovered
and
valorised
via
biological
uptake
through
microalgal
biomass.
Microalgae-based
treatment
(MbLWT)
emerged
an
effective
technology
for
nutrient
recovery,
specifically
targeting
carbon,
nitrogen,
phosphorus.
However,
viability
efficacy
systems
rely
on
characteristics
LW,
including
organic
matter
ammonium
concentration,
content
suspended
solids,
microbial
load.
