Abstract Global solid waste generation is expected to double by 2050 from the present annual level of 2.01 metric ton. Traditional biowaste treatment methods, such as landfilling and incineration, cannot meet need deal with gigantic amounts reduce environmental harm. This review critically evaluates existing sustainable management strategies highlighting their role in transitioning a “reuse recovery” paradigm. Sustainable refers conserving resources protecting human health, society, environment. In this context, examines current advancements potential trends using widely available novel applications produce key biofuels (such biogas biodiesel) corrosion inhibitors, asbestos‐free brake pads, nutrient‐rich functional foods, bio‐cement, bio‐based fertilizer, biodegradable plastic. Among these, biowaste‐to‐energy conversion (e.g., production) plastic synthesis emerge particularly impactful due scalability address both reduction resource recovery goals. The strategic utilization into products holds significant promise mitigating sustainability problems, offering renewable alternatives that are free harmful additives.
