With the intensification of human activities, nitrate pollutants in groundwater are receiving increasing attention worldwide. Especially arid Nile Delta Egypt, is one most valuable water resources region. Identifying source with strong disturbances important to effective resource management. This paper examined stable isotopes (δ15N/δ18O-NO3 and δ2H/δ18O-H2O) hydrogeochemical parameters shallow groundwaters southeast assess potential sources transformation processes under severe urban agricultural activities. The results revealed that were recharged by River. Meanwhile, infiltration irrigation occurred west, while mixing deep east regions study area. TDS, SO42−, NO3−, Mn2+ concentrations (n = 55) exceeded WHO permissible limit 34.6%, 23.6%, 65.5%, respectively. NO3− ranged from 0.42 mg/L 652 mg/L, higher levels observed middle region area where unconfined condition prevailed. It extended eastward flow direction. δ15N-NO3 δ18O-NO3 values suggested west semi-confined largely nitrification soil organic nitrogen (SON) chemical fertilizer (CF).
