The large amount of various types heavy metals in animal manure applied to agricultural field has caused severe threat the ecosystems soil environments. In this study, effect thermal treatment illite on bioavailability copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) aerobic composting pig with corn straw biochar was investigated. objectives study were characterize variations Cu Zn added treated high temperatures identify relatively dominant microbes involved formation humus passivation based 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing analysis. results showed that comparison raw materials manure, control three experimental groups, i.e., group I (with untreated illite), I-2 under 200°C), I-5 500°C), decreased by 27.66 71.54%, 47.05 79.80%, 51.56 81.93%, 58.15 86.60%, respectively. analysis revealed group, highest relative abundance detected Fermentimonas , which associated degradation glucose fructose, increased abundances humus, chelated ultimately reduce their biotoxicity compost. This provided strong evidence support application novel insights into selection appropriate additives (i.e., illite) promote humification different composting.
