A heterotrophic nitrifying and aerobic denitrifying strain was newly isolated from a biogas slurry sample assigned to be Peribacillus sp. EM-C3 based on phylogenetic morphological analyses. This capable of removing approximately 95.96% , 93.63% 99.71% without nitrite accumulation, with maximum conversion rates 4.98, 2.73, 3.17 mg/L/h, respectively. Nitrogen balance analysis showed that high total nitrogen loss (> 50%) achieved by utilizing or as source. Importantly, the removal increased 3.78 4.42 mg/L/h when both were present in system, this promoted denitrification strain. The key activities enzymes involved metabolism (ammonia monooxygenase, nitrate reductases) 0.45, 0.15, 0.01 U/mg protein, Taken together, these results show coexistence may promote EM-C3.

The fertilizer industry laboratory produces urea and ammonia nitrogen waste that can harm living things in the surrounding water bodies.Urea, nitrogen, be reduced by adsorption using activated carbon.This research through carbon with a batch continuous system.Percentage indicator of removal Ammonia Nitrogen (NH 3 -N) Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) NH -N COD analysis was determined.This study aimed to obtain: 1) percentage reduction stem batch; 2) system; 3) Freundlich Langmuir isotherm equation against wastewater.They are testing power system variable levels carbon: 40 g/L, 55 70 85 100 g/L frequency wastewater contact filter cartridges, namely 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 times.The results showed: 98.26-98.82%and 92.53-97.05%;2) 86.05-88.07%and 93.91-97.05%;3) yields constant R 2 0.9464, n 0.4482, K F 0.0616 mg/g; while Langmuir's 0.8684, b -0.1046 L/mg, q m 7.9872 mg/g.
