To improve the oxidation pretreatment efficiency of wastewater from organic peroxides, a catalyst (CeO2-C catalyst) was developed using calcination method with ceramic particles as support. The crystalline structure and elemental composition CeO2-C were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD). This study explored effects CeO2 mass ratio, temperature, time on performance catalyst. optimal preparation conditions established through orthogonal experiments. Additionally, synergistic effect ozone treatment peroxide investigated. results indicated that parameters ratio 4%, temperature 500 °C, duration 5 hours, respectively. After five cycles reuse, catalytic activity slightly decreased but remained relatively stable. With an flow rate 6L/min, CeO2-C/ozone process achieved Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal 28.11% in wastewater, B/C (the BOD concentration to COD concentration)of improved 0.093 0.152. proved effective for preparing catalyst, which demonstrated significant held promising application prospects wastewater.

Abstract Waste activated sludge (WAS) is attracting attention for its energy and resource potential. For the past few years, biochar has emerged as a promising material for removal of various pollutants from aquatic environments, owing to its advantageous characteristics, such tunable porosity, abundant surface functional groups, ease modification, and relative stability. Co-doping with heteroatoms significantly enhances properties by introducing additional groups defects, which facilitate adsorption catalytic degradation pollutants. This review conducts bibliometric analyses relevant publications, synthesis methodologies, applications, reaction mechanisms co-doped an adsorbent catalyst contaminant removal, due synergistic effects doping elements features. Furthermore, co-doping strategies associated including specific area (SSA), defects are analyzed. Finally, future research directions proposed improve efficiency in water soil remediation applications. In summary, this advances frontier on heteroatom-based offers new insights into effective removal.
