Algae-based biofuel developed over the past decade has become a viable substitute for petroleum-based energy sources. Due to their high lipid accumulation rates and low carbon dioxide emissions, microalgal species are considered highly valuable feedstock generation. This review article presented importance of flaws that need be overcome ensure algae-based biofuels effective future-ready bioenergy Besides, several issues related optimization engineering strategies implemented microalgae-based derivatives production were evaluated. Abstract Among the feasible options for valorizing lignocellulosic biomass into value‐added products, biochar is considered to be extremely appealing and it could applied easily in several established thermochemical processes. Biochar possesses a large surface area due its porous nature, which permits easy use various applications, including catalytic biofuel production. This work summarizes research on generation processes, critical physicochemical properties, factors that influence them. Important studies adopting catalysts liquid production are critically reviewed, reaction mechanisms yield analyzed. Finally, challenges of biochar‐based presented, together with possible solutions. Over recent years, many companies and countries have established net-zero emission objectives for 2050 or sooner. Frankly, there will be fraught with challenges dangers to some extent attain net-zero. Therefore, we scrutinized the importance of strategies plans/roadmap these goals in this review.
