In this work, the magnetic chitosan nanoparticles were prepared by in-situ co-precipitation method and then modified glutaraldehyde ethylenediamine. The effect dose of crosslinking agents for adsorbent preparation on tetracycline (TC) adsorption was investigated. experiment results showed that (EMMCS-G) had best performance, which more than twice raw chitosan. EMMCS-G characterized SEM, TEM, VSM, FTIR, XRD XPS. effects experimental parameters such as time, temperature, pH, dosage Cu2+ TC discussed. result indicated optimal pH 6.5. Under conditions an initial concentration 50 mg/L mg, removal rate reached impressive 94%. isotherm kinetic studies process illustrated onto EMMCS corresponded to Freundlich pseudo-second-order models. maximum capacity 84 mg/g. Thermodynamic analysis revealed both endothermic spontaneous. regeneration suggested possessed excellent reusability further use. Moreover, mechanisms mainly involved pore filling, π-π interactions, hydrogen bonding electrostatic attraction.
