Diverse pretreatment methods have been developed for cell-cracking and sludge denaturation to harvest pretreated as the suitable fermentation substrate. However, new inoculation is not always working quickly or adaptively sludge. This study established sludge-degradation microorganism preservation (SDMP) method by integrating rhamnolipid (RL) high-speed hydrocyclone (HSHC) fully use enriched microorganisms with decomposing enzymes/abilities at decline phase organic matters bioconversion. The results showed SDMP efficiently cracked extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) but preserved enhanced microbial viability activity of hydrolytic acidifying enzymes. Then volatile fatty acids (VFAs) production cycle treated was shortened 36.25% than alkaline sludge, yield reached 4482.19 mgCOD/L in 3 days matter conversion rate 369.36 mgCOD/gVSS. Preserved microorganisms, including Mycobacterium, norank_f__Pirellulaceae, IMCC26207, norank_f__JG30-KF-CM45, Petrimonas, played positive roles accelerating VFAs production.

Short-time aerobic digestion (STAD) of sludge requires low investment and has the advantages short retention time rapid degradation organic matter in waste activated (WAS). This research conducted STAD at three temperature gradients (15°C, 25°C, 35°C). Characteristics EPS microbial community structure raw fermented were analyzed, environmental application potential different temperatures was explored. treatment improved both polysaccharide (PS) protein (PN) contents EPS, with increases 5.7‒18.35% 20.98‒28.57%, respectively. Aromatic protein-like substances (Peak E) tryptophan F) main components PN EPS. The species richness decreased as increased. At class level, significantly affected Alphaproteobacteria, Gemm-1, Chloracidobacteria, Acidimicrobiia, Ellin6529, Betaproteobacteria, SJA-28. From an perspective, specific resistance to filtration (SRF) value WAS after 35°C 7.01×107 m/kg a 17.34% reduction, indicating improvement dewaterability sludge. Pb2+ adsorption efficiency per unit volume increased by 10.0‒16.2% for four hours. elucidated impact on systems, finding that abundance correlated characteristics. results provide basis optimizing system systems deeper understanding benefits practical applications resource utilization.
